The four of us all grew up in Mattoon but really connected in the last year as a group when we started working out together. We all have kids ranging from 1 to 6 years old and have similar goals. It blossomed into an amazing friendship where we starting checking in with each other daily. Some days it is a simple “how’s everyone doing today?”. Some days it’s much needed encouragement, a workout time-lapse video or a healthy meal we prepped. Other days it’s silly TikTok videos to make each other laugh, us venting about going crazy during the quarantine or a confessional where we all admit we had pizza and ice cream for dinner. We don’t take ourselves seriously and love to laugh and have a good time. Having a group of women who support each other is so important and we created this group to have a safe space where we can come together to support, encourage, inspire and love all of you and HYPE you up!

My name is Megan Salmela and I am a wife and mom of two kiddos. I have been married to my husband Chase for almost 10 years and we have Parker Rex who is 6 and Murphy Rey who is 2. I have been a physical therapy assistant for 13 years and currently work for Sarah Bush Lincoln at the Arthur Clinic. I love working with people and helping them improve their quality of life and quality of movement. I really started to take my health seriously in the last 2 years and not just my physical health, but my mental, emotional and spiritual health as well. I got more active in the church, spent time meditating, praying, reading, workout out and journaling and most importantly I learned how to make myself a priority! I am a caregiver by nature but it was a game changer when I realized that you can’t pour into other’s cups when yours is empty! I started getting up at 5-530 daily to spend time in the quiet before the chaos of the day to focus on me. When I made this shift and showed up for myself I then showed up for everyone else and was able to be a better mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend. I love having a good time and the Mom Hype Crew has been such a wonderful friendship of like minded mommas to have fun with and inspire each other to be better everyday!
My name is Kristi Paulson, I have lived in Mattoon, IL since I started grade school. I have been married for 9 years now to my best friend and partner in crime Dan. Together, we have 3 amazing children named Andi (5), Jax (3), and Hayden (18 months). I am a former college softball player, turned COACH. I coaching high level travel softball with my husband, Dan, for 12 years in an organization that we started together. We travel all over the country chasing the best competition, but also teaching life lessons to our players along the way. I have a true passion for coaching and helping to push and challenge young athletes to become the best versions of themselves, which is why I recently took on a college coaching position at a local Junior College. Before kids, I was a High School Physical Education Teacher and Conditioning Coach. I gave up my teaching career to be a stay at home mother and I never looked back. To say our lives are busy would be an understatement. Somehow in all this we have learned to embrace the CHAOS, laugh a lot, and enjoy the little moments. I have a creative mind, and dabble in photography, and I enjoy comedy and making people smile. I am a social butterfly and entertainer at heart. I am grateful for my “Hype Squad” as they make me laugh every day! I hope that we can make you smile, make you laugh, and lift you up with positivity with our silly Mom Hype! Life is too short to not do what you love, laugh, and enjoy the little moments.
My name is Kayla Hart and live in Mattoon with my husband, two kids, and two fur babies. Ryan and I have been married for 5 years and have two sweet kiddos: Quinn (4) and Adrienne (2) who keep me on my toes! I am a former elementary teacher turned stay at home mom and am a registered home baker. I previously taught 3rd grade at Windsor Elementary and teaching will always be a huge passion of mine! I decided to take a few years off to raise my babies at home after I had Adrienne. Being their mama is the best “job” ever! During the last year I have really started to take more time to focus on myself and start my fitness journey after kids: when I started working out with these 3 amazing moms! Finding this “mom hype crew” has been amazing for my physical and mental health! I am so thankful for this mom tribe and my hope is that we can hype up anyone else who needs it!
Aubrey Crozier is the name. Inspiring others to improve their health and fitness is my game. You can usually find me at the Barre hyping up others (especially this Mom Hype Crew) one pulse and costume at a time. If I’m not at the Barre, you’ll see this Mamasaurus somewhere in between the refrigerator and pantry, where my two kiddos keep me hopping with their demands of chocolate milk and snacks. My husband, Brandon, and I have been happily married for 5 years. Our first year of marriage we spent living in my husband’s hometown which is famous and is known as the “small town with big things”. Want to know more? Look up Casey, IL. We are blessed with two spunky boys, Brantley (4) and Bryston (almost 2). We like to call them our “Sour Patch Kids” because they can be really sour and turn sweet in an instant (especially our youngest). Having children has been the biggest blessing in my life because they have really opened my eyes to new experiences and led me to this special friendship with the “Mom Hype Crew” - just 4 cool mommas living our best life by hyping each other up to become the best versions of ourselves.
